About the Author

Rebekah Atkins is a writer and speaker based in Middle-Tennessee. She was a professional ballet dancer who became a Mama of four.  She is deeply passionate about encouraging women, and the Body of Christ as a whole in the truth of God’s Word.  Her constant aim is to remind people that it is actually possible to experience freedom in Christ and live courageously. She has always been drawn to leadership and feels called to help ministry teams function in a vibrant and healthy way. She has been discipling women in the local church for the past fourteen years through small groups, Bible studies, and gospel-centered events. Rebekah had the privilege of travelling internationally for two years with a Christian ballet company called Ballet Magnificat and founded a non-profit ballet company in Oregon called Instruments Ballet Company.  At both companies she performed Gospel centered stories along with her team to large audiences. Rebekah fell in love with ministering to hurting people and seeing their countenance transform after encountering the presence of God.  She feels at home on the stage, proclaiming the truth of Who God is and how much He loves us. She currently leads High School girls in Youth Ministry as well as Young Mamas in the Women’s ministry at her local church. She has a history of family trauma and disordered eating which informs the way that she speaks into the lives of women who struggle with identity, body image, and self esteem. She wants to impact an entire generation of women to cherish the body that God has given them, live free in their unique callings, build stronger families, and love well.
